A midsummer affair

I am reeling under the glow of the Austin sun and summer breeze from the gorgeous summer wedding I attended there this past weekend, check out what I wore for the rehearsal dinner and the wedding below...

 Inspired by the derby season and the dramatic headpieces worn to royal weddings, I was feeling like a Mad Men super hostess wife in this outfit. I simply love Polka dots and my wardrobe has its fair share of this delightful pattern. I love this J.Crew Dress and how classic it is, I will probably be wearing it years from now both dressed up and down. This is a picture from the wedding day, the lady who did my hair was a magic maker - she managed to whip my asymmetric bob into shape and out came an elegant braided do which is another hair trend that I am loving right now - I am now a believer Braided up-do's are for everyone.

I absolutely love these Michael Kors shoes, they can be dresses up or down and are super comfortable, plus they are in this seasons hot metallic hue, you cannot go wrong with these.

I couldn't help but gush over my beautiful Friend Thai - she was an elegant and endlessly beautiful bride, in case you are wondering the bustier part of her wedding gown is made of feathers, she looked like an angel!
